Contract relationship

The relationship between Abbie Harris and ‘the Client’ is that of an independent contractor. Time worked will be limited to the stated hours per period (for contract work) or until agreed completion (for project work) as per the confirmed quote.

Fees

I will provide a quote ahead of work based on the discovery discussion/s. This will outline key services and milestones. In agreement with the Client, I will provide a cost to work on either a fixed hourly/weekly rate or on a project basis.

If the scope of work changes significantly, I reserve the right to review my fees to accommodate new requirements. This will be communicated to the Client in writing as soon as possible.

Accuracy of content

All work is original. I always take every precaution to make sure that all work is proofread, accurate, and factual. The final responsibility for the accuracy of content remains with the Client. No responsibility for inaccuracies within the content lies with Abbie Harris after the final content is approved.

Payment terms

All work will be invoiced in New Zealand dollars.

Contract work: Monthly invoice for payment on or before the 20th of the month following the date of the invoice.

Project work: A deposit of 50% is required prior to the commencement of work. An invoice will be issued on completion, which is due for payment no later than 14 days after the date of the invoice.

If work is cancelled after the project has started the Client will be invoiced for work to date.

Late payment, credit card and international payment fees will apply.

Reimbursement of expenses

All reasonable expenses incurred in the course of providing work will be reimbursed by the Client. I will always obtain approval before incurring expenses and follow this up with receipts.

Indemnity

By using my services, you agree to indemnify me against any claim, including that of a third party, for compensation or damages resulting from the use of, or in connection to, written material provided as part of this contract.

Copyright

Abbie Harris retains the copyright of all work until the final invoice is paid. On final payment, copyright passes to the Client.

By accepting to work with me, you agree to these Terms of Trade.
